System Interfaces

We can develop GUI front ends for your "legacy" sytems, automate distribution of computer output, or automate transfer of data between systems. We can also add functionality to commercial products to make them better fit your needs.

Some Examples

For a corporate MIS department we assisted in the development of a distributed database that provides modern, Windows based access to contract, job cost, and human resources information. Project managers, human resource personnel, and corporate management can query and manipulate data as needed in their day-to-day work. The underlying database is protected from modification so that valid information is assured. The information in this database is provided by an IBM main-frame environment via an automatic, periodic process.
For several years we have been responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of wide area network services. These services provide for reliable transfer of data between main frame, microcomputer and external environments. The most heavily used of these services provides for distribution of reports and data via Email, Internet, or remote drop-off on a LAN file server. Another service supports automatic reception and processing of Email for the collection of corporate financial reporting.
