Program Management/Scheduling

We've been breaking big jobs down into lots of little ones, finding the critical path, getting projects on track and keeping them there for quite some time.

Some Examples

We managed a 20-person software team responsible for developing targeting programs and supporting software for the Peacekeeper weapon system for a period of more than two years. The software developed by this team including a range safety processor, FORTRAN compiler, assembler, loader, interpretive computer simulations, and test laboratories using operational computer systems. All work performed by this group was delivered on time and within budget.
We led a small team for three years that was responsible for developing an information system to streamline tracking maintenance scheduling of the Minuteman missile and its ground support systems. When we took over this project it was making no profit and was in danger of being canceled. When completed, the contract value had increased by 250%, a reasonable profit margin had been achieved, and the customer was satisfied with what he got.
We led activities in support of the Federal Aviation Administration for a period of six years. These activities included developing a system for Flight Service Stations, measuring performance characteristics and optimizing en route air traffic control facilities, and developing several techniques that substantially improved system efficiency.
We have extensive experience in project planning and execution. We can start anywhere in the process from the "idea" phase to the "oops, we're late" phase. The sooner we start the better, but we can bring order to complex, troubled projects. In 1999 put together and managed a project plan to complete a "Y2K" project for a complex legacy system. The project was completed on time, in budget, and the system breezed through 1/1/2000 without a hiccup!
